Fantastic session. Went for a 5.8m initially, but was a little underpowered closer to shore and only just powered up further out in the cleaner wind. Both Rob and I decided to rig bigger sails, so the 6.3m came out. This turned out to be the perfect combination. Both of us were nicely powered up the whole session, particularly as the wind swung round from cross off to cross shore which cleaned it up even more. There were a number of peaks forming along the beach and we sailed about half a mile down wind to get at what appeared to be the best of them. The waves were coming in nice little sets, peaking at around 4 foot which gave rise to some lovely relaxed waveriding. Best wave I had was 4 top / bottom turns. There was no problem getting out if you timed your run out when there was a lull in the waves and avoided the sucking back of the shorebreak on the steep bit of the beach (only a problem right at high tide). Hope we get many more sessions like this at this beach because its a cracker in the right conditions.
